Step 1: To get started, attach the VCI case to the OBD-II connector and plug the OBD-II connector into the OBD socket in the car. Turn on the FCAR diagnostic tool and connect it to the VCI via bluetooth.

Step 2: Enter “Diagnosis”. Locate and select “Service Reset” in the “Special Function” category.

Step 3: Select “Diagnostic Mode”.

Step 4: Select “Service Reset”.

Step 5: Select “European Cars”.

Step 6: Select “VAG”.

Step 7: Select “VW”.

Step 8: Should the service light on the instrument panel be on, perform the manual reset first.

Please read the following information carefully. Option 1:

Firstly: Turn off the ignition switch.

Secondly: Turn on the ignition switch while pressing and holding the reset button for the trip meters. After the ignition switch is on, the maintenance required light is still on.

Lastly: Press the reset button for the trip meters for 3 seconds within 30 seconds of the last step. Should there be any mistakes made during this process, it is advised that you try it again from the beginning.

 

Option 2:

Firstly: Turn off the ignition switch.

Secondly: Turn on the ignition switch while pressing and holding the “SET” button. Thirdly: Release the “SET” button then press it again.

Lastly: Turn off the ignition switch then turn it on to check if the service reset is completed. If not, start from the beginning and do it again.

Step 9: Perform Automatic Reset after the Manual Reset has been finished. Click “Continue”.

Step 10: If the service reset is operated before the service light is on, please select “automatic Reset” directly.

 

Step 11: Select “Oil Reset (Minor Service)”.

Step 12: Since this car is not equipped with turbocharger, we shall go ahead and select “7500 km/180 days (without T)”.

 

Step 13: The operation was successful.

Step 14: Please restart the ignition switch to make sure the service light on the instrument panel has been cleared.
